Heavy-duty tool storage for every job — find the system built for how you work.

Find Your Tool Box: Hand Carry, Pro Series, or OSM

BoxoUSA builds three distinct tool storage systems, each engineered for a different job. Need to carry tools between your vehicle and the job site? Start with Hand Carry. Need heavy-duty rolling storage that lives in one shop bay and takes daily abuse? Start with Pro Series. Outfitting a permanent wall with modular, built-in storage? Start with Organized Storage Modules (OSM). Compare the three below, then shop the one built for how you work.

TOOL BOX FAQ

What's the difference between the Hand Carry, Pro Series, and OSM tool boxes?

Hand Carry tool boxes are built from 20-gauge steel with ball-bearing drawer slides and a key-and-digit lock system, sized for jobs that need to move with you. Pro Series rolling tool boxes step up to 18-gauge spot-welded steel with gusset-reinforced corners, full-extension soft-close drawers rated for 100 lb. per slide, and 2,200 lb.-capacity casters (550 lb. per caster) for shop environments that see daily heavy use. Organized Storage Modules (OSM) are a modular, fixed-installation system with 18-gauge steel and stainless worktops, built for permanent shop layouts rather than mobility. Need it to roll with you daily: Pro Series. Need to carry it in and out of a vehicle or job site: Hand Carry. Building a fixed shop wall: OSM.

What size rolling tool box do I need?

Pro Series ranges from 26" 6-drawer units up to 72" 14-drawer garage-top models. As a rule of thumb: 26"-35" suits a single technician's daily tools and fits tighter bays; 41"-53" gives room for a full tool set plus growth; 72" units are built for shared shop stations or consolidating multiple smaller boxes into one. Match drawer count (6 to 20) to how finely you want tools separated.

How much weight can a BoxoUSA tool box hold?

Pro Series drawers are rated for 100 lb. of full-extension capacity per slide, and the caster sets carry 2,200 lb. total (550 lb. per caster), so a fully loaded box rolls without stressing the wheels. Hand Carry boxes use heavy-duty ball-bearing slides built for repeated loading and transport.

How secure are BoxoUSA tool boxes?

Pro Series and Hand Carry both use a key-and-digit lock system that secures the drawers and lid together, so a locked box can't be opened drawer-by-drawer. That matters most for shared shops, job sites, or any space without constant supervision. OSM features a barrel lock system.

What's the difference between a tool box and a tool chest?

The terms are often used interchangeably, but "tool chest" typically means a drawer-based cabinet (rolling or stationary) built for organized storage, while "tool box" can also mean a single carry case. BoxoUSA's rolling tool boxes function as tool chests: multi-drawer steel cabinets on casters, from compact 6-drawer units to 20-drawer garage systems.

Will BoxoUSA tool boxes hold up outdoors or in a mobile shop?

Pro Series uses a chemical-resistant powder coat finish designed to resist chipping, scratching, and fading, with casters built for repeated rolling on shop floors. For outdoor or mobile use, pair a Pro Series box with the matching garage-top add-on, or choose Hand Carry if the box needs to move between vehicle and job site regularly.
